Mark Pellington

Mark Pellington (born March 17, 1962) is an American film director. Pellington was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He directed The Mothman Prophecies, a 2002 film starring Richard Gere dealing with mysterious deaths foretold by a strange red-eyed flying creature, Mothman, as well as Arlington Road in 1999 starring Tim Robbins and Jeff Bridges. Pellington's father, Bill was a football player with the Baltimore Colts for 12 seasons. He died of complications from Alzheimer's in 1994.
