Madan Puri (1915 – 13 January 1985) was an actor in Hindi and Punjabi films. Madan Singh Puri was born in Nawanshahr, Punjab to S. Nihal Singh Puri and Ved Kaur. He had four siblings, elder brother Chaman Singh Puri, younger brother Amrish Puri, younger brother Harish Singh Puri and younger sister Chandrakanta Mehra. Puri had an acting career which spanned over 40 years from the 1940s through to the mid 1980s. He appeared in more than 300 films. His film debut was in a film titled Ahinsa in 1946.
