Love 'em and Weep (1927) is a comedy short silent film directed by Fred Guiol for Hal Roach Studios. It was shot in January 1927 and released June 12 of that year by Pathé Exchange. The cast included Mae Busch, Stan Laurel, Jimmy Finlayson (billed here as Jimmie), and Oliver Hardy. Since both actors Laurel and Hardy appear in the film it is considered an early Laurel and Hardy film despite the fact that Hardy's role is just a bit part, and they barely share any scenes in the film at all. The 1927 film was the first in which English character actor Charlie Hall was to appear with Laurel and Hardy. He played Tillsbury's butler, which Finlayson would play himself in the 1931 remake.
