Lorraine Gary (born August 16, 1937) is a retired American actress, best-known for her role as "Ellen Brody" in Jaws, Jaws 2, and Jaws: The Revenge. She also appeared in 1941 and Car Wash.
Gary was born as Lorraine Gottfried in Forest Hills, Queens, New York on August 16, 1937, to Betty and George Gottfried, an entertainment business manager.

Gary was born as Lorraine Gottfried in Forest Hills, Queens, New York on August 16, 1937, to Betty and George Gottfried, an entertainment business manager.

She began her acting career in the late 1960s doing guest appearances on several popular TV shows. These include Night Gallery, The Virginian Dragnet 1967, McCloud, Kojak and The F.B.I..
