The volatile Andrew hijacks Jake for a mysterious late night road trip away from his typewriter and poisonous relationship. The two men are halfway to Ohio before Andrew reveals the purpose of their journey. Jake and Andrew befriend a young girl at a rural filling station (Lily Holleman, UrFrenz) and a single mother at a local diner (Rosemarie DeWitt, Rachel Getting Married) while enroute to the funeral of Andrew’s father. This is the story of a lost generation emerging from the ashes of post-9/11 New York, and finding themselves again during the Northeast Blackout of 2003. But above all, HOW I GOT LOST is the story of how friendships can shape a person's life and set you on the right path.
