typically dread -- "la nina". for the land of enchantment it usually means a dry season... but our neighbors in colorado love it. in fact, the ski season is already well underway just a few hours away from albuquerque... and it's looking to be a good one. nats opening day -- wolf creek -- october 8th. that's right.... we said october 8th. earliest opening at the resort ever... topping it's previous record by 19 days. this video was uploaded to you tube ... nats by some hard core snowboarders. resort officials say these guys are getting a taste of what wolf minute thumbnail 06:37 am creek is known for. "If you like to ski powder..." roseanne pitcher says wolf creek has 64 inches of snow year to date. and they expect more with another la nina weather pattern. "Last season was one of our best seasons on record, it was actually our second highest season in terms of skier visits and Colorado accounts for 1/5 of all skier visits in the United States." OUR friends in durango are expected to benefit from la nina as well...
