Kim Schraner (born 1976) is a Canadian actress, who stars in the children's spy TV series Spynet, shown nationally (in Canada) on CBC Television. She has been the star of Spynet since its inception. At first it was just a weekly short, that was partly educational, with little plot. She was the only regular character. Kim Schraner (born 1976) is a Canadian actress, who stars in the children's spy TV series Spynet, shown nationally (in Canada) on CBC Television. She has been the star of Spynet since its inception. At first it was just a weekly short, that was partly educational, with little plot. She was the only regular character. However, the show has progressively expanded to a more typical half hour drama, with other recurring characters appearing. However, it is still a low budget production. Before starring in Spynet she was a principal cast member on the Showcase soap opera Paradise Falls for the first season which is shot on location in Muskoka, Ontario. As well she was a character in several movies. She's been a guest on several well known shows, such as Wild Card, Mutant X, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal, Forever Knight, and Due South. She is also seen in a group of television advertisements for Kelsey's restaurant in Canada. As of October 2008, she can be seen as the spunky bar owner, Kate, in the show Testees.
