Kevin Staab is an American ex-professional skateboarder. He started skating in 1975 at the age of 8 or 9, and first started frequenting the Carlsbad Pipeline Skatepark.
He also skated other parks such as Moving On and Oasis, and the Del Mar Skate Ranch.
Staab moved to Arizon after finishing junior high and honed his skills on a local halfpipe. until he returned to California in the mid-'80's where he was able to become an early amateur member of the Bones Brigade, an ambition he had set his sights on at an early age. Feeling frustrated with his amateur status at Powell Peralta, Staab accepted an offer of a pro model sponsorship from Sims Skateboards, with whom he remained with until his retirement in the early 1990s.
His "mad scientist" board proved to be a top seller and his profile increased substantially, allowing him to tour extensively, reaching the UK first in 1986 and again in 1987(with Joe Johnson and Mark Gonzales.
