Kenan İmirzalıoğlu was born as the youngest of three children to Mustafa and Yıldız İmirzalıoğlu in the village of Üçem in Balâ, Ankara Province. He then acted in Alacakaranlık (Dusk) written and directed by Uğur Yücel and Yazı Tura (Toss up) which featured the same cast. In 2005, İmirzalıoğlu played the lead role in Osman Sınav's Aci Hayat (Bitter Life) based on the 1962 film of the same name. He followed that by lead roles in the action films Son Osmanlı Yandım Ali (The Last Ottoman: Knockout Ali) and Kabadayı (For Love and Honor).
