John F. Mann (born September 18, 1962 in Calgary, Alberta) is a Canadian rock musician and actor. He is the lead vocalist (and, with Geoffrey Kelly, one of the principal songwriters) for the folk rock band Spirit of the West. He has also released two solo albums, Acoustic Kitty and December Looms. In the 1980s, he studied theatre at Studio 58 in Vancouver, but then gave it up when he joined Spirit of the West. He also played a minor speaking role in the film Underworld: Evolution. He played dual roles in the 2001 film Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal. The characters he portrayed are Slade Craven, the goth rocker who stages a concert in a 747 and Simon Flanders, a passenger of the flight who is a Satanic fan planning to crash the plane in Stull, Kansas in the disguise of Craven.
