Workman was born in Fairfax, Virginia, the son of Glenn Workman, who runs a communications firm and Crystal, a homemaker. Workman is a middle child. His sisters are actresses Shanelle Workman and Ariel Winter.
Workman made his acting debut in 1991, when he received the role of "Pugsley Addams" in The Addams Family. While his sister, Shanelle was reading for the part of Wednesday Addams, a role which later went to actress Christina Ricci, Jimmy was playing on the set. The casting directors noticed Jimmy and asked him to read for the part of Pugsley. Workman reprised the role of Pugsley once again as he joined the cast of Addams Family Values in 1993. What followed was smaller roles in films, Black Sheep, As Good as It Gets, with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt, and The Biggest Fan. His television work includes Matlock, Life with Louie, and the television film Christmas in Connecticut. Workman has retired from acting and now works in the film technical crew. LESS
