Nuumamonja: Time and Space Adventures (Jikuu Bouken Nuumamonjaa) is an anime OAV based on Chrono Trigger. The music for the OAV was taken directly from the game's soundtrack. The story takes place in 999 AD, in the same setting as Chrono Trigger. The Millennium Fair opens at night to a gathering of monsters who come through the portal located in Guardia. The two stars, Nu and Poyozo, try to recruit members for their musical group "Nuumamonjaa." Finding no one willing to join their group, they wander the fair and find Johnny from 2300 A.D., and interrupt his performance. Later, Nu enters a drinking contest and wins a golden shovel, with the help of a controller that resembles that of a Super Famicom. Nu must urinate after winning the contest, and goes into the bushes to find Gato (Gonzales in Japan). Gato activates and chases the group, while spouting his challenge to beat him and earn silver points.
