Jeff Rawle (born 20 July 1951) is a British actor, perhaps best known for playing the long-suffering George in the news-gathering sitcom Drop the Dead Donkey. He played the character as Silas Blissett in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from December 2010, until November 2011. Rawle was born in Birmingham, England; his family moved to Sheffield and it was at High Storrs Grammar school that he first became interested in drama when he appeared in school plays.
