James Thomas Callahan (October 4, 1930 – August 3, 2007) was an American film and television actor who appeared in more than 120 films and television shows between 1959 and 2007. He is perhaps best known for portraying Walter Powell on the sitcom Charles in Charge from 1987 to 1990.
He appeared as Danny Adams, an airline pilot, in the sitcom Wendy and Me on ABC during the 1964–1965 season, with co-stars George Burns, Connie Stevens, Ron Harper, and J. Pat O'Malley. In the fall of 1965, Callahan had a recurring role as Lieutenant O'Connell in John Gavin's short-lived NBC series Convoy, about the movement of two hundred ships across the Atlantic during World War II.
