Izumi is the guitar player behind the development of the "FLYING W" guitar series. Edwards by ESP and Pro Ceed are the manufacturers. A Lighting system was developed in the middle of the Humbuckers in a way that the live performances could be scenically interesting. Features of his guitar are a Floyd Rose system and some models of the guitar featured Brass hardware. Izumi is important to the musical scene in Japan due to his being in the music industry for over 27 years, recording more than 20 albums with Aion, touring with known bands like Luna Sea and releasing many solo albums. Izumi started playing guitar around age 12, and formed his first band at 15. Sometime after that he formed a punk band where he was guitarist and vocalist.
