Gretchen Egolf (born 1973) is an American film and television actress.
Egolf grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she began acting in theatre as a child. After high school, she attended the Juilliard School for drama in New York and has been living and working in New York and Los Angeles ever since. Aside from her numerous Broadway, off-Broadway, West End, and regional theatre credits, Gretchen appeared on Martial Law; as recurring character "Vanessa Whitaker" on Roswell; and appeared as Jackie Gleason's wife in Gleason. She has guest starred on numerous shows: Law & Order, Without a Trace, Century City, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Cosby, The Naked Brothers Band, and Cracker. She also starred in the TV pilots Leap of Faith, The Corsairs, and Journeyman. She went on to star as Katie Vasser, the wife of main character Dan Vasser, on the TV series Journeyman.
Gretchen's film experience includes Mira Nair's The Namesake, Anthony Minghella's The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Robert Redford's Quiz Show, as well as the independent films Social Grace and Nicolas.
Her older brother, Tristan Egolf, wrote the 1999 novel Lord of the Barnyard. LESS
