In an old Hollywood mansion, the spirit of an old family retainer inhabits an old grandfather clock. When a movie company uses the mansion for a film, the spirit inhabits the body of an alien and persuades the two filmmakers to track down an old house that will resolve a family scandal.

The film was released theatrically in Germany on June 25, 1987. The film would eventually be released on videocassette in the United States on February 7, 1990 by M.C.E.G. Virgin Home Entertainment. In 2001, the film was released on DVD by Image Entertainment but in full frame and without any bonus material. The DVD is now discontinued and as of April 12, 2010, no current plans have been made to release a new DVD of the film. LESS
