Farhan Akhtar (born 9 January 1974) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, playback singer, lyricist and television host based in Bollywood. He is the son of Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani and the younger brother of Zoya Akhtar. Akhtar has won two National Film Awards and six Filmfare Awards for his work in Indian films.

Farhan Akhtar was born on 9 January 1974 in Mumbai to screenwriters, Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani. He has been exposed to the film industry ever since his childhood.
