Eric Brown, (born December 17, 1964, in New York), is an American film and TV actor of the 1980s.
Brown is best known for his role as Phillip Fillmore in the coming of age motion picture Private Lessons and as Vinton "Buzz" Harper, Jr. in the syndicated American TV show Mama's Family.

As a political media consultant, Brown produced hundreds of television and radio ads for U.S. Senate, Congressional, and statewide campaigns for Alexandria, Virginia-based Murphy Putnam Media.
He is also a contributing author of Take Back Your Time (2003, Berrett-Koehler).
He previously worked in Washington, D.C. as communications director for the Center for a New American Dream, a nonprofit organization that "helps Americans consume responsibly to protect the environment, enhance quality of life, and promote social justice".
