Eddie Shin (born July 17, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois) is a Korean-American actor.
He was born and raised in Chicago, in the neighborhood of Rogers Park.
From a young age, Shin was heavily involved in academics and extracurriculars, and would go on to become student body president at both his grade school, Saint Jerome, and his high school, Loyola Academy. Eddie Shin (born July 17, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois) is a Korean-American actor.
He was born and raised in Chicago, in the neighborhood of Rogers Park.
From a young age, Shin was heavily involved in academics and extracurriculars, and would go on to become student body president at both his grade school, Saint Jerome, and his high school, Loyola Academy. He was also involved in his Church youth club, where he would also become president in his junior and senior years of high school. After graduating from high school, he attended Williams College and seriously considered a career in medicine. Instead, he discovered and became passionate about acting after getting involved with a student run theatre project in his first year. Before his second year of college, he transferred to the University of Chicago, where he would become a mainstay of the University Theatre.
During his undergraduate years, he interned at the famed Steppenwolf Theatre under the mentorship of Curt Columbus, where he would eventually help lead various workshops and have his professional debut in the world premier of Chuck Mee's "The Berlin Circle", directed by Tina Landau.
