Drapion is famous for being one of the Pokￃﾩmon revealed before the Japanese release of ''Pokￃﾩmon Diamond'' and ''Pearl'', alongside Cherrim and Pachirisu. The purpose of Drapion in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokￃﾩmon, is to battle both wild Pokￃﾩmon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokￃﾩmon owned by Pokￃﾩmon trainer. Its names are a combination of dragon and scorpion. Drapion appears to be a scorpion, with more detail than its pre-evolution, Skorupi. Drapion has two large claws, four short legs and what appears to be another claw on its tail. It has a vicious appearance, having a big jaw and menacing teeth. Its whole body is purple and fuchsia broken into multiple round segments. It is able to turn its head around 180 degrees, and since its arms are directly attached to its head, it has virtually no blind spots. It can also crush cars with its claws.
