Shortly after, Swain starred as the rebellious daughter of John Travolta's character in the action film Face/Off. After Face/Off, she starred in many independent and low-budget films including the award winning Southern Gothic suspense movie Plain Dirty, in which she played the lead role as the battered wife Inez.
