Diablo 3 is the long-rumored game supposedly being developed by Blizzard Entertainment, the third in the best-selling, and award-winning Diablo franchises Diablo (video game) and Diablo 2. As of June 2008, Blizzard Entertainment has officially acquired http://www.diablo3.com/ from a Diablo fansite (now DiabloFans.com) Although this is not an official annoucement, it has caused Diablo fans to think it very likely that Diablo 3 being developed currently. Diablo3.com is currently down, indicating that Blizzard could possibly be working on the website. Rumors have circulated that Diablo 3 will be announced at the Worldwide Invitational 2008 on June 28-29, 2008. The dates are important in Diablo history. Diablo 2 was released on June 28th, 2000. And, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction was released on June 29th, 2001. Over the past years, there have been numerous Diablo 3 rumors & facts. There are numerous Blizzard job openings offer positions on, "the team that designed Diablo and Diablo II."
