D. B. Sweeney

Daniel Bernard "D. B." Sweeney (born November 14, 1961) is an American actor. Sweeney was born and raised in Shoreham by an educator father and a municipal government employee mother. He attended Shoreham-Wading River High School and both Tulane and New York University. Before completing his BFA at NYU in 1984, he was cast in the Broadway revival of The Caine Mutiny Court Martial. Sweeney guest starred on television series The Edge of Night and Spenser: For Hire before entering films, where he portrayed a gung-ho Vietnam enlistee in Francis Ford Coppola's Gardens of Stone (1987). Lisa Roberts, a successful comic book artist, moves to the remote southwestern United States after being attacked twice on the streets of New York. There she is befriended by Randal Atkins, another visitor to the community. When he tries to seduce her she knocks him out and calls the police. Lisa finding that the desert is even more frightening than the city, decides to return to New York.
