He has appeared in feature films and television programs. Prior to a career in show business, Robinson was a music teacher at Horace Mann Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois. Robinson was arrested on June 29, 2008 in Culver City on charges of possessing methamphetamine and ecstasy during a routine traffic stop. At the time, Robinson was already on probation stemming from a drunk driving incident in 2006. He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance, and agreed to take drug education classes.
