Courtney Bernard Vance is an American actor. He was a regular cast member in the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent, in which he played Assistant District Attorney Ron Carver. He was also a series regular on the ABC series FlashForward. He guest starred on the TNT series The Closer as Chief Tommy Delk, from 2010-2011.
