Clifford Evans

Clifford Evans (17 February 1912 – 9 June 1985) was a Welsh actor. As a conscientious objector he served in the Non-Combatant Corps in World War II. During the summer of 1934 he appeared in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Open Air Theatre in London. Evans played many parts in British films of the 1930s, before starring in the film The Foreman Went to France in 1942. His most well-known later film roles were the two he played for Hammer Studios: Don Alfredo Carledo in The Curse of the Werewolf (1961) and the inebriated vampire-hunter, Professor Zimmer, in The Kiss of the Vampire... MORE
