Canadian film director Silvio Narizzano was educated at Bishop's University in Quebec, and began his directing career on the stage, helming productions at the Mountain Playhouse in Montreal. He switched to the screen in 1952, when he began working for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, producing shows like Tales of Adventure and ITV Play of the Week. Within a few years, he was directing more challenging shows like Saki and Paris 1900, along with memorable films like 1965's Die! Die! My Darling! and 1968's Blue. Narizzano would continue to direct for the rest of his life, with movies like Why Shoot the Teacher? and TV series like Alleyn Mysteries, until he passed away in 1995 at the age of 84. ~ Cammila Albertson, Rovi LESS
