Tenor Ken Carson spent most of his career with the Sons of the Pioneers, the band of crooning cowboy singers who often accompanied Roy Rogers in his many 1940s Westerns. Carson joined the group in 1943 as a replacement for founding member Lloyd Perryman who had been drafted and was fighting in Burma. Carson remained with the group through 1947.
