American cinematographer Henry Sharp began his career in 1915 as a lab technician and camera assistant; by the early '20s, he had become a full-fledged director of photography who went on to work on many major productions, including those of Douglas Fairbanks. Following the advent of sound, he became less prominent, but still was a competent cinematographer. Since 1950, Sharp has primarily worked in television. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide less
