Caroline Catz (born 1970) is an English film, television, theatre and radio actress.
Born Caroline Caplan, Catz began acting in the early 1990s, initially playing minor roles. On registering with Equity, she discovered that an actress with the name Caroline Caplan was already registered, so she had to choose a different professional name.
In 1994 she took a lead role in the BBC's All Quiet on the Preston Front, which ran for three series. She followed this with a spell in The Bill as Rosie Fox, during which she met Michael Higgs, who later became her husband. Her part in The Bill was the... MORE

In 1994 she took a lead role in the BBC's All Quiet on the Preston Front, which ran for three series. She followed this with a spell in The Bill as Rosie Fox, during which she met Michael Higgs, who later became her husband. Her part in The Bill was the first of a series of three long-term roles in which she played police officers - The Vice had her demoted to PC, whilst in Murder in Suburbia she was a Detective Inspector. She is currently starring in ITV1's Doc Martin, where she plays primary school headmistress Louisa Glasson.
Catz has continued to appear in one-off roles, including In Denial of Murder, in which she played real-life murder victim Wendy Sewell, and in an episode of Hotel Babylon.
