She is also known for roles on Nickelodeon and the TV series Jericho. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Bailey grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Bailey first appeared on-screen in an episode of The Sopranos in 1999. While attending college, Bailey made her television hosting debut on a children's program on Nickelodeon, U-Pick Live, and was a host on that show from 2002 to 2005. In 2006, Bailey made her first role as a major character, Skylar Stevens on the CBS series Jericho, and would remain until 2008.
