After lettering in three varsity sports – basketball, football, and track - in his native Wisconsin, Beyer crossed state lines to attend the University of Minnesota where he began acting in a class for non-theater majors. His professor encouraged him to pursue the craft as his career which provoked him to move to New York City upon graduation. He currently resides in Los Angeles. Later he was cast on the pilot of ABC's Roman's Empire opposite Kelsey Grammer. The pilot did not move forward but it did help Beyer to enter the cast of his next role on GCB, again by ABC, playing Zack Peacham. Beyer had a recurring arc on NBC’s Third Watch, starring as Charlotte’s boyfriend on HBO’s Sex and The City, and had guest roles on Lie To Me, NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, CSI: Miami, Law & Order, and Law & Order: SVU among others. He also starred as Don Meredith opposite John Turtutrro in the TNT original telefilm Monday Night Mayhem. His film roles include the comedies Mr. Woodcock, Sorority Boys, the indie favorite Trick, The General's Daughter with John Travolta, and Antonio Banderas’ feature directorial debut Crazy in Alabama in which he portrayed a hunky bellhop who seduces Melanie Griffith. For the latter two roles he had to audition on the same day. LESS |
