Benedict Wong (born 1970) is an English actor and comedian. Wong was born in Manchester Lancashire, and attended school in Salford, Lancashire. In early 2009 he acted alongside Marc Warren in the play The Pillowman at Leicester's Curve theatre, and then went on to play Li in the BBC's award winning Spirit Warriors. He recently appeared in the second episode of Series 4 of the Channel 4 comedy The IT Crowd, playing the character Prime, a previous Countdown contestant who had won the sixteenth Countdown teapot when he was known as Harold Tong, and also appeared in the movie Shanghai playing the character Juso Kita, starring alongside John Cusack.
