Peldon received an Emmy Award nomination at 6 years of age, for her three years as Marah Lewis on Guiding Light. Peldon went on to appear in motion pictures such as The Lemon Sisters opposite Diane Keaton, Stella opposite Bette Midler, Deceived opposite Goldie Hawn, and the cult favorite, Drop Dead Fred opposite Phoebe Cates. More currently, she also appeared in Arthur Miller's The Crucible opposite Winona Ryder and Daniel Day-Lewis and in Ghost World with Scarlett Johansson, among many other films.
