Armand Anthony Assante, Jr. (born October 4, 1949) is an American actor. Assante was born in New York City and raised in Cornwall, New York, the son of Katherine (née Healy), a music teacher and poet, and Armand Anthony Assante, Sr., a painter and artist. His father was Italian and his mother was Irish, and was raised in a devoutly Roman Catholic family. Assante was married to Karen McArn from 1982 to 1994, and has two daughters, Anya and Alessandra. In 1964, "Vinnie and the Dreamers" and their 16-year-old lead singer, Vince Pirelli, made the crowds go wild. It was a magical time. Now more than 30 years later, Vince, now 50, is tending bar in a trendy Bay Ridge Bistro and playing weddings. Vince, a widower of ten years, wants no part of his past.
