Arline Judge (February 21, 1912 – February 7, 1974) was an American actress who worked mostly in low-budget B movies, but gained some fame for marrying and divorcing seven times. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Judge was educated in a Catholic convent and began her career as a dancer in an act for Jimmy Durante. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Judge was educated in a Catholic convent and began her career as a dancer in an act for Jimmy Durante. After meeting director Wesley Ruggles on a train, she got her start in films with his help, then married him. Nicknamed "One-Take Sally," her film career spanned the 1930s and 1940s. After that, she had a few television appearances, the last one in an episode of Perry Mason in 1964. Judge was married seven times and had two sons; Wesley Ruggles, Jr. with first husband Wesley Ruggles and Dan Topping, Jr. with second husband Dan Topping. Her other husbands include: Judge is sometimes listed as being married to James M. Bryant, however both Judge and Bryant denied this claim. Judge died in West Hollywood, California on February 7, 1974. She was laid to rest in St. Michael's Cemetery in Stamford, Connecticut, which is a cemetery designated for people of the Roman Catholic faith. LESS
