On September 18, 1973, she and actor Christopher Cazenove (1943–2010), who had made his name at around the same time in The Regiment, married. They had two sons: Linford James (20 July 1974 – 10 September 1999), who was killed in a car accident on the M11 in Essex while driving to pick up books from Cambridge University, where he had just been awarded his Master's in Philosophy. and Rhys William (born 1976). Cazenove and Rees divorced in 1994; Cazenove died in 2010. In 2005 Rees remarried, to David McAlpine, a member of the McAlpine construction empire, in Kensington and Chelsea, London. LESS
