Her most recent role was playing Mimsy on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. In 1980, she married actor Stephen Elliott, who also had a recurring role on Dallas as attorney Scotty Demarest. Although Hirson and Elliott were longtime friends the two did not start a relationship until the 1990s. In 2010, she appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie Starstruck as Jessica's grandmother.
