Alex Cord (May 3, 1933) is an American actor who is perhaps best known for portraying the role of Archangel on the television series Airwolf. Born Alex Viespi in Floral Park, New York, Cord was stricken by polio at the age of 12. When his family moved to Wyoming where doctors advised him to take up horse riding as a thereputic exercise that helped him recover by the age of 16..
